Solid Ground's Lettuce Link program cultivates Seattle's urban land in order to feed hungry people healthy food and to teach and empower low-income people to grow their own healthy fresh vegetables. Each year, Lettuce Link engages more than 400 public school children in growing and preparing nutritious food.
The Lettuce Link children's garden intern plays an important role in nutrition education doing teaching, farm work, community cooking and writing/photography. Paid in fresh vegetables, interns will work at the beautiful Marra Farm and Seattle Community Farm sites in South Seattle.
